Dual Vocational Training(Duale Berufsausbildung)

Germany has the best training system in the world. Stipend in Dual Vocational Training

In Germany, during dual training, you receive a monthly salary from the company you work for. On average, trainees currently earn 1,028 euros gross. Depending on your profession and the region in which you work, you may receive more or less. For example, an apprenticeship as a mechatronics technician costs an average of around 1,100 euros gross per month. The salary of the trainees also increases with each year of training. Part of this money is deducted for social insurance.

Course Process of Dual Training

The dual training usually begins on August 1st or September 1st each year. In addition to practical work in the company, you will atend vocational school during your training. There you not only learn German, English, and social studies. Two-thirds of the hours consist of topics that are partiularly important for your apprenticeship. During your apprenticeship, you are entitled to at least 25 working days or four weeks of vacation per year.

Your teachers, your trainers, and your colleagues will support you in your training. After the first half of your apprenticeship, you will have to pass an intermediate exam, during which you will have to show what you have learned in school and how you apply it in the company. The training ends with a final exam. The exams are usually held in German. If you are successful, you have good chances of a career in the German economy.

Requirements for Starting an Apprenticeship in Germany

Before you are approved for an Ausbildung, your training company in Germany must know which school-leaving certificate you have.
